GTRevival's Big Switch
Ian Bell announcing GTRevival’s switch from Unreal to MADNESS came as quite a shock, especially with the game’s development seemingly well underway.
However, the main reason for the switch centres around VR performance, with Bell citing it as a crucial element of modern sim racing.
Given both Assetto Corsa Competizione and EA SPORTS WRC’s visual struggles using Unreal’s tech it’s an understandable decision, especially as the MADNESS-powered Project CARS 2 and Automobilista 2 were both exceptional with a headset on.
Can Straight4 Studios elevate the driving experience of the MADNESS engine to match its VR prowess, however?
